“Hans in Luck“ is the theme of this year’s story. The setting is a chaotic market place. We spend 24 hours in a lively, oriental city.
4am Dahab Song Clown Bon is fast asleep in the still empty market place. The Muezzin calls to the first prayer. Bon dreams of the past, when everything was good...The three clowns had a fight because of a lump of gold which they had found in the desert. Bon wakes up and misses her friends. Only the useless lump of gold is still there with her.
6am Percussion The city awakens. With their brooms and garbage bags, the street cleaners bring the first signs of life onto the market place.
10am Juggling The market sellers put their stands up and juggle their wares. The candy seller looks for customers. Bon exchanges her stupid lump for a farmer’s sheep.
2pm Floor acrobatics Surprise!!! A circus announces itself via market telephone and soon the first artists do their tumbles. Bon is afraid of the lion...
4pm Fortune tellers Mysterious ladies captivate the city. Since Bon is still thirsty, even after sheep’s milk, she exchanges the sheep for a wonder lamp.
7pm Tight rope walking Darkness arrives, the Coffee shop comes to life. Since Bon’s wonder lamp doesn’t work and she’s got cold ears, she exchanges it for a warm cap.
10pm Air acrobatics in tissue and bungee Stars dance across the city.
12pm Fire swallowers Oriental fire artists light up the night.
4am Dance Time for beautiful dreams, even the town policeman takes a nap...
6am Finale Bon is hungry and still misses her friends. She exchanges her hat for three Bonbonis (candies) and her biggest dream becomes reality! She has found her friends again and is welcomed with open arms. They all realize that friendship is the most important thing!
