Three clowns are in the Sinai desert looking for gold, but all that they find is sand. They think about it and decide that all they have to do is collect rainbow colors, because as everyone knows, there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. This is the beginning of a long and adventurous search and journey around the world. On each continent they find a color, in the Sinai desert yellow, by the lions in Africa orange, and by the fakirs in Arabia red. In Asia they find pink by the princesses, violet by the magicians in the land of illusion and in Europe, by the jugglers, dark blue. In the air by the tight rope artists they find light blue. In Australia by the acrobats they find light green and in the jungle of South America they find dark green by the dancers.
After a hatful of sleep and a dream, they wake up in a place that looks like Dahab, where they had first started their journey. But there was no sign of treasure or gold. Suddenly they realize…their home Dahab is their treasure! The story ends with the thought: “People sometimes search far and wide for something good that is really quite close to them.”
